Founded in 1963, this outdoor living history museum operates on an authentic Chicago & North Western Railway branch line originally built in 1903 to serve local iron mines.
What began as a small collection of rescued locomotives has grown into the largest collection of wooden passenger cars in the United States, with over 100 pieces of rolling stock representing the period from 1880 to 1916 when railroads expanded at an unprecedented pace across America.
