Welcome to Harry’s Prohibition Bistro, where Wisconsin meets 1920s Italy in the most delightful way imaginable.
This isn’t just another pizza joint – it’s a certified authentic Neapolitan pizzeria that happens to be housed in what feels like Al Capone’s secret hideout. Since opening in 2013, this 1920s-themed bistro has become one of only a handful of restaurants in Wisconsin to earn certification from the prestigious Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (VPN).
The authentic wood-fired oven was literally handcrafted in Naples, Italy, and has been burning continuously since it arrived. You’ll find yourself transported to a coastal Italian fishing village while somehow still being firmly planted in Wisconsin – and that’s exactly the magic this place delivers.
Signature Pizza & Menu Highlights
The Marsala Beef Pizza: Prepare your taste buds for something extraordinary. This masterpiece features braised beef in a red wine reduction with caramelized onions, portabella mushrooms, crème fraiche, mozzarella cheese and fresh basil for around $18.
The combination of rich, tender beef with the tangy crème fraiche creates flavors so complex you’ll find yourself analyzing each bite. Many visitors end up taking leftovers back to their hotel for a midnight snack because the portions are generous and the flavors are simply unforgettable.

The Walnut Pizza: Don’t let the unusual combination scare you away – this unique creation features fontina cheese and whipped cream cheese that creates an unexpectedly delightful flavor profile. The nuts add a satisfying crunch that contrasts beautifully with the creamy cheeses, making this one of those adventurous choices that pays off spectacularly.
Antipasto Selections: The cheese, bread, olives and cured meats platter includes authentic Albanian sausage, reflecting the owner’s heritage. The bread alone is worth raving about – it’s the kind of crusty, flavorful bread that makes you understand why Italians take their carbs so seriously.
Secret Menu Nutella Pizza: This off-menu dessert pizza costs around $12 and is like a giant sandwich cookie with baked crepe layers and Nutella spread in the middle. Fair warning: it’s deliciously messy. Some guests also rave about the campfire pizza made with peanut butter, Nutella, toasty marshmallows and panna cotta.
Pasta & Specials: Beyond pizza, you’ll find excellent pasta dishes like the beef marsala and chicken gnocchi. The truffle soup gets particular praise from diners who appreciate its rich, velvety texture and deep flavors.

Prohibition Era Magic: The main dining room transports you back to the days of flappers and bootleggers with dark lighting, flickering lanterns and staff donning black ensembles with signature red fedoras.

No Reservations Policy: This popular spot operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early is your best bet. The intimate setting and specialized menu cater to those seeking a sophisticated dining experience rather than family-friendly casual dining.
Beverage Program: The Wisconsin-heavy draft beer list includes Sheboygan’s own 3 Sheeps Brewing Company, while the housemade Limoncello rests for five to seven months before serving.
