Picture this: you’re dining on expertly crafted sushi while gazing out over the shimmering waters of White Bear Lake, Japanese whiskey in hand, as the sun sets behind the Minnesota shoreline.
Located on White Bear Lake’s western shore, Mizu Japanese combines the freshest, high quality ingredients with a refined culinary sensibility to create a special evening of dining.
Established in 2017, this upscale Japanese restaurant has quickly become a destination for sushi lovers and anyone seeking an elevated dining experience in the Twin Cities area. This Japanese spot is owned by the same crew behind Acqua, bringing the same attention to quality and atmosphere that has made their sister restaurant a local favorite.
Chef Jordan Wolsterstorff is behind the sushi bar, formerly of Red Lantern Sushi, acquiring daily fresh fish from vendors he’s met while training under renowned sushi chefs in Japan. You’ll find traditional Japanese flavors presented with creative flair, all while enjoying some of the most spectacular waterfront views in the metro area.
Menu Highlights
Signature Specialty Rolls: The creativity truly shines in their house specialty rolls. The Lake Monster features soft-shell crab and asparagus on the inside, wasabi tobiko (flying-fish roe), seaweed salad and red chili on the outside.
