Built right after Prohibition ended by the legendary Girard brothers, Zukey Lake Tavern has been serving up classic American comfort food and good times for nearly a century.

The tavern’s story begins with Maggie and Baldy Girard, who owned the first motorized boat on the lake and would cruise around picking up customers for their new establishment. Today, you can still arrive by boat and dock right at their pier, then head straight up to the famous rooftop deck that has become a Michigan institution.
