Picture yourself wandering through endless corridors of forgotten treasures, each turn revealing another unexpected discovery from decades past.
Elizabeth’s Grand Antique Co. in Elizabeth, Illinois transforms a century-old school building into what one magazine called the absolute coolest flea market in the state of Illinois.
This massive 28,000-square-foot wonderland houses 250+ vendors across three sprawling floors, making it the perfect weekend escape for treasure hunters just 20 minutes from historic Galena.
The historic community school building opened in 1900 and housed students until 2003, when Michael Maynard purchased it in 2014 and converted it into Northern Illinois’ largest antique mall.
You’ll walk the same hallways where generations of students once learned, now filled with everything from vintage books stacked ten shelves high to sterling silver napkin ring holders and rare first-edition finds.
