Every bite at this beloved bistro tells a story steeped in authentic Louisiana tradition, where third-generation recipes meet contemporary Cajun artistry in downtown Villa Rica.
Founded on November 14, 2006, by Louisiana natives Gabe and Tami Toups, this classic Louisiana bistro has become a cornerstone of West Georgia’s dining scene, earning devoted followers who make regular pilgrimages for dishes that rival anything found in the French Quarter.
After reopening in December 2024 at their stunning new 129 Main Street location, Gabe’s Downtown has returned stronger than ever.
The restaurant’s journey reflects the Toups’ unwavering commitment to their craft – originally opening in Villa Rica in 2006, expanding to Douglasville in 2015, then returning home after structural issues forced a temporary closure.
Now housed in a beautifully renovated space, the bistro combines the warmth of Louisiana hospitality with modern amenities that enhance every dining experience.
