Driving up the winding path through grapevines feels like discovering a hidden treasure tucked into Georgia’s mountains. Yonah Mountain Vineyards spans 200 acres of rolling hills at the base of ancient Yonah Mountain, where Bob and Jane Miller have created something truly special since purchasing the former farmland in 2005.
What started as a dream to make world-class wines has blossomed into one of North Georgia’s most celebrated destinations, complete with an octagonal tasting room offering breathtaking vineyard and mountain views.
You’ll find yourself surrounded by 20 acres of carefully tended vines growing everything from Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The winery officially opened in 2007, with their first Chardonnay grapes planted that same year, and they’ve been making award-winning wines that rival California’s finest ever since.
Wine Excellence & Signature Selections
Genesis Collection: Their flagship Genesis red wine blend has earned legendary status since debuting in 2009. This Meritage-style blend caused quite the stir in 2011 when wine experts chose it over two Napa wines in a blind tasting. You’ll discover why when you taste the complex layers and smooth finish that make each vintage special.
Estate Varietals: The estate-grown wines showcase what Georgia terroir can produce. The Estate Sauvignon Blanc delivers crisp, refreshing notes perfect for warm afternoons, while their Cabernet Franc offers elegant structure and depth. The rolling hills and sandy soil create ideal growing conditions that translate into exceptional flavor profiles.
