Big cats prowling just feet away from you, their powerful roars echoing through the Jacksonville evening air while massive chunks of raw meat disappear in seconds – this isn’t a scene from a nature documentary, but your reality at Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary.
Founded in 1995 by Curt and Deborah LoGiudice after they rescued a tiger named Misty, this 45-acre sanctuary has evolved from a backyard passion project into Florida’s most intimate big cat rescue experience.
What started as one couple’s dedication to a single tiger has blossomed into a forever home for over 30 rescued big cats, including tigers, lions, leopards, cougars, bobcats, servals, and even some “honorary cats” like arctic foxes and coatimundis.
You won’t find any breeding programs or animal sales here – every resident has found their permanent sanctuary after being rescued from closed facilities, damaged enclosures, or situations where they were kept as misplaced pets.

Night Feeding Spectacle: The crown jewel experience happens Friday and Saturday evenings when you’ll witness the distribution of over 600 pounds of raw meat throughout the sanctuary.
