Located on a natural saltwater lagoon in the heart of the Florida Keys, the Dolphin Research Center offers visitors intimate encounters with 27 dolphins, four California sea lions, exotic birds, and even African spurred tortoises.
Founded in 1984 by former Marine Corps veteran Armando “Mandy” Rodriguez and his wife Jayne, this nonprofit research facility sits on the historic site where commercial fisherman Milton Santini first established his “Porpoise School” in 1958.
