Breaking gravity’s rules while breaking world records sounds impossible until you experience Orlando StarFlyer firsthand. Standing at 450 feet tall, this towering giant officially holds the title as the world’s tallest stand-alone swing ride, making it a must-see attraction on International Drive.
The concept began in 2012 when Funtime had a mobile StarFlyer located next to the London Eye during the London Olympics, and after collaborating with developers for 2½ years, they brought this incredible attraction to Orlando in partnership with ICON Park.
You’ll be seated in comfortable double seats next to your friend, family, or partner and secured with both seat belts and an in-between-the-legs harness that can only be unlocked by ride operators. Moving up and down while rotating around the giant tower at speeds of up to 45mph, no other attraction combines safety and thrills quite like this sky-high adventure.
The Ultimate Sky-High Experience
World Record Heights: At 450 feet tall, you’ll soar higher than any other swing ride on the planet. The ride towers 50 feet above the neighboring Orlando Eye, giving you unparalleled views of theme parks, downtown Orlando, and the surrounding landscape. You can even spot Disney World in the distance on clear days.
Breathtaking Speed: You’ll reach speeds of up to 45mph as you spin around the massive tower. The ride starts gently, slowly climbing and rotating to let you adjust to the height, then gradually picks up speed as you ascend higher. The sensation of essentially flying above the ground creates an exhilarating rush that’s both terrifying and magnificent.
