The Dauer Museum of Classic Cars transforms a humble 30,000-square-foot industrial warehouse into an immersive journey through America’s golden age of automobile manufacturing.
Dr. Edward and Joanne Dauer spent over 50 years meticulously collecting and restoring these rolling pieces of art, opening their private collection to the public in 2020 after decades of invitation-only viewings.
You’ll discover over 55 pristine classic cars spanning from 1906 to 2020, but this isn’t just another car museum. The Dauers have recreated entire historical scenes that transport you back to when chrome ruled the roads and gas cost 25 cents a gallon.
From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the museum’s oldest resident—a 1906 Cadillac delivery truck with kerosene headlights that once carried flowers through Pittsburgh’s streets.
