What began as a working fishing dock in 1928 has transformed into Southwest Florida’s most enchanting waterfront destination, where the Village is Florida’s unique combination of a full-service destination resort and a hometown hang out for visitors and locals alike.
While Fishermen’s Village was established in 1980, the pier on which it resides was built in 1928. Known then as the Maud Street City Dock, it was built to replace the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad’s dock at King Street.
Today, this historic waterfront complex offers an irresistible blend of boutique shopping, waterfront dining, luxury accommodations, and recreational activities that make it feel like you’ve discovered your own private slice of coastal paradise.

So I would say yes to walk around the area or at the Brewhouse. The village welcomes four-legged friends, making it a delightful destination for the whole family.
Competitive Pricing: In spite of having some of the best brands, prices are fairly competitive and I must say they have some of the most unique apparel I’ve seen when it comes to touristy t-shirts and hoodies that say Punta Gorda. You’ll discover quality merchandise without the inflated tourist pricing that plagues many waterfront destinations.
