You’ll discover this remarkable 7-acre sanctuary tucked away along the Overseas Highway in Tavernier, where a wooden boardwalk winds through natural mangrove enclosures housing birds that simply can’t survive in the wild anymore.
Each resident has arrived here after suffering injuries from fishing line entanglements, vehicle strikes, or other human-related accidents, but now thrives under expert care in spacious, naturalistic habitats that feel more like a peaceful refuge than traditional zoo enclosures.
