This family-owned gem has been dishing out comfort food excellence since 1995, surviving relocations and even a temporary closure to emerge stronger than ever in their spacious new location near UCF.
Giovanni “Johnny” Krasniqi reopened Johnny’s Diner near the UCF corridor in the former home of Mei’s Kitchen, at 10169 University Blvd.
What makes this place special isn’t just the longevity – it’s the unwavering commitment to homemade everything, from their famous country gravy to their perfectly seasoned breakfast potatoes that customers rave about in review after review.

The Johnny Omelet: You’ll find this signature creation stuffed to the brim with fresh vegetables and savory meats, creating a hearty meal that consistently gets top marks from diners. Ordered the (34) Johnny Omelet and Four Strips of Bacon …as always very yummy.
The generous portions mean you’ll likely have leftovers for later.
Country Gravy That Rules Orlando: (some of the best Country Gravy in Orlando! This isn’t just marketing speak – reviewers consistently single out Johnny’s country gravy as exceptionally rich and flavorful, perfect for smothering over fluffy biscuits or crispy hash browns.
Greek Omelet Excellence: The greek omelette could have had a little more meat, maybe its me cause I thought it was so delicious.
Even when customers want more of the good stuff, they admit the flavors are spot-on. The blend of Mediterranean ingredients creates a satisfying twist on the classic American omelet.

Peak Times Strategy: Saturdays and Sunday are the busiest times and you may have to wait but the wait is well worth it. Plan for crowds on weekends, but the consistently excellent food makes any wait worthwhile.

Perfect Coffee Companion: The coffee, as always, remained my favorite, perfectly complementing my breakfast. The coffee consistently earns praise for quality and the fact that coffee cups are never empty.
