Picture this: a charming seaside cottage where the aroma of freshly made waffle cones mingles with the salty beach air, and sixth-generation locals craft award-winning ice cream that has become a 30A tradition.
Blue Mountain Beach Creamery started over 20 years ago when owner Christine and her young son Jed migrated from Canada to a seaside cottage on the corner of 30-A, and under new ownership since 2021, it’s now run by sixth generation locals who take pride in the quality of their fresh, homemade ice cream, sorbets, and frozen yogurt.
This beloved spot sits perfectly positioned across from Redfish Village, just a short walk from Blue Mountain Beach access. You’ll find yourself drawn to their front window where the magic happens daily – serving homemade ice cream, yogurt and sorbet, as well as waffle cones made fresh daily from 11 AM to 10 PM every single day.

Generous Portions: They give a huge amount of ice cream, enough for 2-4 people, depending on the size of scoop. The double scoop option provides excellent value and easily satisfies multiple people.
The Shake Shop: Behind the main creamery, you’ll discover their second operation offering milk shakes, Charlie’s Donuts, Lucky Goat coffee, frozen custard, Bill’s Lemonade and sno cones, open daily from 7 AM to 10 PM.

Other Considerations
Premium Pricing: You should know it is expensive: $7 for a single scoop, $9 for a double scoop, but if you don’t want to pay the price go to the grocery store – buy your own cones and an ice cream machine and make it yourself…this is a resort and vacation area – not a discount shop. The quality and generous portions justify the premium cost.
Payment Options: While traditionally cash-only, although their website states they’re a cash-only establishment, they do accept debit cards, too. Come prepared with either payment method to avoid disappointment.
