Half a million toys spanning over a century await discovery inside this remarkable 4,000-square-foot wonderland that transforms childhood memories into tangible treasures.
The Sarasota Toy Museum represents one of the most extensive vintage toy collections on the Gulf Coast, housing everything from pristine 1930s salesmen samples to modern collectibles that bridge generations.
This family-operated museum emerged from an incredible journey that began in Vermont’s Green Mountains. When Richard Pierson stumbled upon Gary Neil’s legendary Vermont Toy Museum during an antiquing expedition, he discovered a handwritten sign offering the entire collection for sale.
What started as a whimsical photograph became a life-changing acquisition, resulting in the careful relocation of this extraordinary collection to sunny Sarasota in 2024.
