Step inside a piece of Hollywood history where movie fantasy meets beachside reality. The Panama City Beach saloon is modeled after a popular movie from 2000, also called Coyote Ugly, the story of an aspiring songwriter who comes out of her shell by working in a female-run bar famous for teasing its male patrons. Since 2009, more franchised bars in Tampa, Panama City Beach, Destin and Daytona Beach have been established in Florida.
This isn’t just any bar – it’s where you become part of the show. Whether you’re channeling your inner confidence by dancing on the actual bar or cheering on fellow patrons as they take on wild challenges, you’ll discover an atmosphere that’s equal parts exhilarating and unforgettable. With an average of 320 sunny days a year, Panama City Beach is simply stunning, the perfect place to relax before an evening of fun.
Entertainment & Bar Dancing
The Main Event: Bar-top dancing isn’t just encouraged here – it’s the whole point. It was a lot of fun watching girls dance on the bar and hang upside down from the ceiling. They also let us go up and dance on the bar too. The Coyotes (bartenders) create an infectious energy that makes even the shyest visitors want to climb up and show off their moves. Women who dance in the bar are rewarded by the bartenders with a shot of alcohol.
Mechanical Bull: There is a mechanical bull that was the source of great enjoyment. Although we did not take part ourselves, watching others laugh as they were thrown from the bull was giggle-worthy. They have a bull u can ride and a lady walking around with shots. You’ll find yourself caught up in the excitement as riders try to stay on while the crowd cheers them on.
Interactive Entertainment: The bartenders run interactive games and rituals that get the entire crowd involved. It appears the bar tenders run the show at Coyote Ugly and patrons look to them for guidance. The most fun part of my job is dancing on the bar. Violet had singing as her talent in the movie, I believe my talent is dancing.

You’ll feel transported into the famous film as the bartenders recreate that same bold, playful energy that made the movie a hit. I think the movie is a lot like the real thing! Our Coyote Ugly gets crazy busy, like in the movie, so we get to have a huge party.
High-Energy Crowd: The crowd tends to be enthusiastic and can be a lot of fun to watch. You’ll be surrounded by people ready to let loose and have fun, creating an electric atmosphere where everyone’s looking to make memorable experiences. The crowd is rowdy and many appear to have visited often enough to know what’s expected of them.
Late-Night Party Destination: We party every night until 4am no matter what! The energy doesn’t die down as the night progresses – it only gets more intense as people get more comfortable and the entertainment ramps up.
Intimate Space: The place its self is not as big as I thought but it was a lot of fun – this creates a more personal, connected feeling where you’re close to all the action and can easily become part of the show rather than just watching from afar.
